Denis Flanagan, Commercial and Logistic Director at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, has been appointed European Chair of the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC).

IACC, the world’s leading professional body, brings together purpose-built conference venues from across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, setting internationally recognised standards for quality, innovation and sustainability.

Membership is awarded only to venues that meet rigorous criteria and demonstrate excellence across operations and shape the future of the meetings industry.

Denis Flanagan has served on the IACC European Board since January 2020 and held the role of Vice Chair during 2024 and 2025. His appointment as European Chair reflects his extensive leadership across the hospitality and meetings sector, as well as his long-standing contribution to the organisation. In his new role, he will also join the IACC Global Board, helping to shape strategic direction at an international level.
