Union Hotels Eurostars: a historic venue with modern capacities
For the first time, Conventa’s main programme was hosted within the conference facilities of Grand Hotel Union Eurostars, one of Ljubljana’s most iconic hotels with more than a century of tradition. The venue is part of the wider Union Hotels cluster, which together offers nearly 600 rooms across several properties in the city centre and a comprehensive hospitality infrastructure for large-scale events.
The hotel complex features Ljubljana’s largest hotel conference centre, with approximately 2,500–3,000 square metres of multifunctional meeting space designed to accommodate a wide range of event formats, from corporate conferences and trade shows to gala dinners and social events.
Among its most notable spaces is the Grand Union Hall, an Art Nouveau ballroom widely regarded as one of the city’s landmark event venues. The hall spans roughly 504 m² and can host up to 700 participants in theatre-style seating or around 800 guests for receptions, making it suitable for plenary sessions and large-scale gatherings.
Additional halls within the complex include the White Hall (250 m², up to 270 theatre-style participants) and the Garden Hall (239 m², up to 260 participants), complemented by a series of smaller salons and meeting rooms suited for workshops, breakout sessions and business meetings.
The hotel’s blend of historic architecture, central location and large-scale conference capacity explains why events such as Conventa choose the venue as their operational hub.
