NEED TO KNOW IN 2026

In 2025, Florence launched the Florence Association Centre – FAC, Italy’s first dedicated hub for international associations. Promoted by Fondazione Destination Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau, together with the City of Florence and supported by Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, the FAC offers tailored operational and strategic support, from access to meeting spaces and boardrooms to guidance on long-term initiatives as well as operational support. The Florence Association Centre opens doors to the University of Florence, research centres, hospitals, and local institutions, creating a network where ideas meet action, and collaboration drives impact. It is more than a service: the Florence Association Centre is a platform that amplifies influence, strengthens partnerships, and makes Florence a global hub for science, research, and international excellence.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that Florence hides a secret corridor above the city streets? The Vasari Corridor, built in 1565, connects Palazzo Vecchio with Palazzo Pitti, passing over the Ponte Vecchio. Originally designed for the Medici family to move safely and privately between their residences, it contains hundreds of artworks and offers unique views of the Arno. Few visitors realize this passage exists, as it has been closed for years and only occasionally opens for special tours. This hidden route tells the story of Florence’s political power and artistic passion, reminding us that the city’s Renaissance treasures are not only in plain sight but also tucked away in secret corners.

BEST INCENTIVE IDEA IN 2026

In Florence, unforgettable incentive experiences are those that immerse you in culture, craft, and creativity. Imagine working side by side with master artisans, shaping leather, blending perfumes, or crafting Florentine paper and bringing home a unique, handmade creation that carries the memory of your journey. Every touch and gesture sparks inspiration, strengthens teamwork, and transforms collaboration into something tangible. The day can conclude with a multisensory dinner where flavours, scents, music, and storytelling converge, turning a meal into an unforgettable journey. By combining hands-on creation with sensory exploration, these experiences connect participants to Florence’s living heritage, leaving an impression that lasts far beyond the day. Team-building becomes more than an activity; it becomes a story, a memory, a piece of Florence to take back home.

PERFECT GIFT

Every visitor to Florence should take home more than a souvenir – they should carry the spirit of the city itself. Beyond leather goods, artisan crafts, or a bottle of Tuscan wine, what truly endures is the memory of Renaissance beauty and Florentine creativity. A walk through Piazza della Signoria, the colors of the Duomo, and the taste of gelato by the Arno become treasures that last longer than any object. Florence offers inspiration: the idea that art, culture, science and human genius can shape a city and enrich lives. That sense of wonder is the most precious gift to bring back home.

Set in the heart of Tuscany, the city is surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves that shape its landscape and culinary traditions. The Arno River flows through Florence, offering scenic views and inspiring centuries of art and literature. Culturally, Florence is the cradle of the Renaissance, home to masterpieces by Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Brunelleschi, whose dome still dominates the skyline. Beyond its iconic monuments, the city thrives on living traditions: artisan workshops, leather goods, and Florentine paper continue to embody centuries-old craftsmanship. Festivals, opera, and contemporary art enrich the cultural calendar, while the city’s academic institutions foster innovation and knowledge. Together, these natural and cultural factors create a destination where history, creativity, and environment merge, offering an experience that is both timeless and deeply rooted in place.
