The site covers approximately 7 hectares in an exceptionally attractive part of the city, bounded by Većeslav Holjevac Avenue, the Zagreb Fair, Joszef Antall Street, and Dubrovnik Avenue.
A catalyst for regional growth
“A modern congress centre will bring the development of conference and business tourism to Zagreb, further strengthen the city’s tourism potential, and, I believe, also improve the overall business environment in Zagreb. Equally important, we are planning a new city theatre, as well as a hotel, office building, and garage at this location,” said the Mayor of Zagreb, Tomislav Tomašević.

These planned facilities will be elaborated in detail in the programme of the urban-architectural competition, which will serve as the basis for preparing the urban development plan. As part of the project preparation, a study on the development purpose of the congress centre and accompanying commercial facilities has already been prepared, as well as a study on spatial capacities for cultural activities.
