Q1: Your event was selected among the 55 best projects in Europe. What was the main inspiration, and how did you aim to overcome the “boring meetings” paradigm?
The main inspiration was to transform a traditional automotive launch into a full-sensory, immersive experience. Rather than a static press conference, we designed interactive reveal zones, live test drives, and photogenic activations that encouraged exploration, engagement, and content creation. By blending cutting-edge technology with lifestyle experiences and high-energy production elements, such as DJ sets and dynamic lighting, we shifted the paradigm from “boring meetings” to an experiential story that guests could feel, touch, and share.
Q2: How did you practically balance innovative technologies with authentic human connection at your event?
We combined advanced technologies, such as AI photobooths, QR-enabled vehicle specs, and 360° content capture, with personal interactions. Multilingual moderators connected Chinese executives with Czech audiences, while curated networking zones facilitated authentic conversations. Live test drives offered hands-on experiences, ensuring that technological innovation remained tangible and human-centred.
Q3: Which three elements would you say had the biggest wow effect on participants?
The cinematic reveal of BYD’s flagship vehicles with dynamic lighting and stage design.
Live test drives are integrated into the event, offering first-hand exposure to BYD’s electric and hybrid technologies. Interactive, media-friendly activations like the AI photobooth and 360° camera installation, which allowed instant content sharing and social amplification.
Q4: Sustainability and legacy are two key evaluation criteria. How did you ensure your event left a positive footprint after it ended?
Sustainability was embedded in both product and production: only electric and hybrid vehicles were used, digital press kits replaced printed materials, and local suppliers and transport logistics were prioritised to reduce emissions. By demonstrating clean mobility in action and encouraging media coverage around sustainability, the event contributed to a longer-term legacy of awareness and adoption of decarbonised transportation in the Czech Republic.
Q5: Which new ideas or formats (e.g., pop-up, hybrid, guerilla, CSR) did you experiment with for the first time?
We integrated pop-up and real-world test drive zones directly into urban streets surrounding the venue, merging the event space with the city. Additionally, interactive digital content and real-time social amplification enabled a hybrid form of engagement, extending the experience far beyond the venue itself.

Q6: How did you engage participants in co-creating the experience, and what impact did this have on the outcome?
Participants co-created the story through interactive elements, like AI photobooths, live content capture, and QR codes inside vehicles for instant discovery. This engagement amplified organic content generation and social sharing, which significantly increased media visibility and audience reach. Guests became active participants rather than passive observers.
Q7: What kind of feedback did you receive from the audience? Did you incorporate their response during the event?
Feedback highlighted the seamless integration of tech and human interaction, as well as the excitement of live test drives. Real-time audience reactions helped moderators and brand representatives adapt stage presentations, optimise flows between activations, and emphasise elements guests were most engaged with.
Q8: In what ways has your event become a benchmark for others in the industry?
The BYD launch demonstrated how to execute a high-impact automotive debut in a tight timeframe and urban setting, combining sustainability, interactivity, and content-first design. It set a benchmark for immersive launches, showcasing how to integrate technology, media engagement, and hands-on experiences in a way that maximises reach and brand impact.

Q9: How does it feel to have your project evaluated both by an international jury and an audience through the 80:20 voting model?
It’s extremely validating. Recognition from both an expert jury and the broader audience reflects that the event was not only technically excellent but also emotionally resonant and widely appreciated — the ideal combination for meaningful impact.
Q10: Which trends in the events industry do you see as most crucial for the future, and how do you plan to integrate them into your upcoming projects?
Key trends include immersive storytelling, experiential engagement, sustainability, and real-time content amplification. For future projects, we plan to continue blending technology with human connection, design content-first activations, and prioritise sustainable practices that leave a lasting environmental and social legacy.
Q11: If you had an unlimited budget, which element would you add to elevate your event even further?
With an unlimited budget, we would create a fully immersive urban experience, blending multi-sensory storytelling with live artists and interactive art installations that respond to the unveiling of each vehicle. AR/VR elements would visualize sustainable mobility solutions, while performers, lighting, and sound would create a seamless, emotionally engaging journey — transforming the launch into a memorable artistic and human-centered experience.
Q12: What was your own personal highlight or most memorable moment from Conventa Crossover 2025?
Unfortunately, I wasn’t there personally.
