“Safe and Healthy Meetings & Events” is a certification issued by the Slovenian Convention Bureau in cooperation with the National Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Slovenia. The certificate is based on a comprehensive guide that includes measures and recommendations for reducing health risks connected to the spread of COVID-19. Hygiene and safety standards in the guide were prepared by the National Institute of Public Health and are meant to be implemented in the tourism and hospitality industry.
To meet the requirements of the certificate, event organisers and venues must comply with 65 different criteria in order to ensure maximum safety of attendees. With the goal of bringing back live events and helping restart the meetings industry, taking part in the standardisation process should be a priority for all Slovenian venues and event organisers.
