Croatian Meeting Professionals Association (CMPA) has announced 20 new certified Croatian Meetings and Events Professionals which have successfully concluded the cycle of professional certification to receive the professional title “Croatian Meeting and Event Professional”.
This is the second generation of meeting and events professionals, introducing the certification program by CMPA last year when they presented their own certified programme with aim to get additional competitiveness and certain guaranty for buyers to get a professional service, conducted by certain rules of congress industry.
Last year CMPA announced 39 certified Meeting and Event Professionals and together with this year 20 new professional colleagues, this proves that Croatian MICE industry is on a good path. Preferred Provider for the Convention Industry Council (CIC) has also recognized the value and importance of this programme and granted the programme with 8 Points (8 CE Hours), and collecting points is one step for getting a CMP certificate.
CMPA is a non-profit organisation founded in 2011, and the premier professional association for meetings, incentives and event’s organisers in Croatia, which works closely with Croatian National Tourist Board, Croatian Convention & Incentive Bureau, Croatian Association of Travel Agents in developing Croatia into an international meetings and events destination. Tourism has one of the most important role in Croatia economy and a country with 4,290,612 inhabitants and national territory of total 56,594 km² with 31,479 km² of coastal waters for sailing, swimming and diving, truly offers amazing and picturesque adventures for everybody who comes. From individual tourists to congress guests and MICE industry which has evolved in recent years. And let’s not forget about the movie industry which has fallen in love with some Croatian gems (Hollywood has filmed movies like Star Wars, Robin Hood, Game of Thrones, etc. in Dubrovnik).
