South East Europe offers an abundance of good ideas and a variety of incentive offers. Kongres magazine has made research into the most attractive incentive destinations of the region. When making the list we used the criteria of destination’s attractiveness, motivational effects on participants, originality of programmes and feedback from our partners.
1. DUBROVNIK, Croatia
Dubrovnik is the most exclusive and unique incentive destination in the region, where incentive programmes participants have access to medieval atmosphere and culture and Elaphiti Islands. Programmes are very rich in terms of fantastic experiences and regional characteristics of south Dalmatia.
2. SOČA VALLEY, Slovenia
The emerald green river Soča is an epicentre of classic and extreme incentive programmes in the region. Rafting and adrenaline water sports are Soča’s top export commodities and incentive programmes are flagships of Bovec and Tolmin. When we add superb culinary and wine offer of the region, especially Goriška Brda, we get very tasty and creative incentive programmes.
3. THE COAST OF MONTENEGRO, Montenegro
Montenegro with its tourist epicentre on the coast is special in terms of its awareness of natural and cultural heritage and influences from the Mediterranean Sea. For wild incentives there are four national parks on offer. In last couple of years Montenegro developed in one of the most competitive incentive destinations of the region with adequate infrastructure.
4. ISTRIA, Croatia
In Istria there are a couple of unique natural features – from Brioni archipelago to Lim canal and picturesque inland. Epicentre is in towns like Umag, Poreč, Rovinj and Pula which are the most developed among all of Croatian destinations in terms of incentive offer and hotels infrastructure. Team building programmes on offer here are among the best in Croatia. An excursion to the inland will no doubt offer an exciting culinary experience.
5. BELGRADE, Serbia
The coolest capital in Europe is full of incentive surprises. You can take a ride in the blue Marshall Tito’s train, fly planes of the ex-Yugoslav army or simply take advantage of the capital with excellent options for organisation of crazy incentive events on the Danube River.
6. BLED, Slovenia
Slovene alpine pearl Bled is original and the first in terms of green incentive programmes in the region. Active experiences in nature are doable all year round; programmes are based on tradition and culture of the town. Diverse accommodation on offer, culinary surprises and various events make Bled one of the most popular incentive destinations.
7. OPATIJA AND KVARNER ARCHIPELAGO, Croatia
The centre of Kvarner Archipelago tourism is in Opatija, which can be an independent incentive destination or a starting point for islands Cres or Lošinj and Krk. Tracking on mount Učka, sea kayaking and some of the best Croatian restaurants in Volosko are all guarantees for successful incentive.
8. PORTOROSE AND SLOVENIAN COAST, Slovenia
Portorose is one of the three largest meetings and incentives destinations. When the hot summer is over it is also very popular as an incentive destination. Slovenian coast is quite short yet it is full of interesting features and incentive possibilities inland.
9. SPLIT AND DALMATIAN ISLANDS, Croatia
The capital of Dalmatia Split is an excellent starting point with abundant culture and history on offer. Split is a starting point for sailing regattas and incentive trips to Dalmatian islands like Brač, Hvar and others. The bravest ones can explore them on a bicycle.
10. MARIBOR AND POHORJE, Slovenia
Characterised by river Drava, wine growing hills and Pohorje, which is adrenaline and sports hub of the region. Wine cellars and picturesque wine roads. Culinary, wine and water experiences are all well developed. Adrenaline offer can be found easily.

Karst gave the name to all phenomena of its kind all over the world and is unique. Magical experiences can be lived in only a short walk in the mysterious underwater world of karst caves. Incentives are possible all year round. The queen of the offer is Postojna Cave and its Predjama Castle. Teambuilding experience is possible only in Slovenia and for this reason it is “out of category”
