This January, the meetings industry was talking about Conventa, New Europe exhibition for meetings, events and incentives. The seventh edition that was held from 21 to 22 January in Ljubljana, brought to Slovenia the highest number of international meetings planners and meeting providers in the history of the show.

Conventa team held a meeting with business partners on May 6th 2015 at “Jurček”, interesting and unusual rotund glass hall that offers a unique venue for events aimed at closed companies. Miha Kovačič, Exhibiton director welcomed all the partners and expressed great satisfaction with this year’s Conventa results: “The 7th edition called itself New Europe and it came big. We broke all the records again this year. More than 130 exhibitors from 15 countries were presenting their offer to more than 200 carefully selected hosted buyers from 31 countries. Although we exceeded all expectations, Conventa has always been about quality, not quantity.” Conventa has also this year welcomed countires like Greece, Azerbaijan and Russia. Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre has been occupied by 135 meeting providers and additional 13 providers were complementing the meetings offer presented at the show this year. These were providers of incentive programmes exhibiting at a brand new Incentive valley and providers of technology and event solutions exhibiting at Meetings Services Spot.[/pullquote]
Another big information was that 90% of Hosted Buyers were newcomers, who came to Conventa to familiarize themselves with the meetings offer of New Europe. They also presented Exhibitors and Hosted Buyers survey results. The main reason for attending Conventa is still One2One meetings. Conventa for 2016 presented a new way of communication – Conventa Experience. The organizers decided to use this word because Conventa is not only a trade show that offers providers a business-oriented platform to develop individual business relationships with targeted meeting industry audiences in a cost- and time efficient manner, but it is also a meeting point of New Europe filled with energy, warmth and great hospitality. “It is a place where personal experience is what matters most, where business is flourishing, knowledge is acquired and good time is guaranteed” explained Gorazd Čad, Head of Marketing at Conventa. They have presented new goals for Conventa 2016, vision and content marketing. At the end, each partner had the chance to comment Conventa 2015 and gave new suggestions and ideas for event better Conventa Experience 2016. “We are pleased with high support coming from partners and looking forward to common search for the progress and success of Conventa” said Miha Kovačič.
