The event started a day before with the Technological conference, an annual meeting of vehicle mechanics, diagnosticians, wholesalers, professors from technical schools and car specialists with highly educational contents related to latest trends and technologies in the automotive industry. The next day, the 5th Trade for Automotive parts opened its doors. The trade that attracted more than 3.000 visitors introduced the novelties in the large field of automotive aftermarket, replacement parts and accessories. A real eye-catcher was the replica of the BLOODHOUND Supersonic Car – the 1,000 mph Land Speed racing car being constructed in Bristol, UK.

The BLOODHOUND Project partnered up with Castrol, one of the world’s leading lubricant brands, who will provide high performance lubricants, brake and hydraulic fluids for use in the BLOODHOUND Supersonic Car. The new 135,000 thrust hp racing car will use a variety of state of the art Castrol products during testing and record attempts, including the company’s strongest ever engine oil – Castrol EDGE, motorsport formula brake fluid – Castrol React SRF and Castrol hydraulic fluids previously used by NASA.
