We are proud to once again bring you fresh and relevant news from the meetings industry of SEE and Central Europe.
Do you ever wonder just who THE TOP INFLUENCERS IN THE CENTRAL AND SE EUROPE MEETINGS INDUSTRY are? Well, we have the answer to this one. The Editorial Board of Kongres Magazine has once again assessed more than 60 influencers in Central and SE Europe after reviewing highlights from the Meetings industry in 2015 and has based their assessment on several key criteria. Also, in the past couple of months we conducted and completed the second on-line questionnaire on the habits of regional meeting planners. We received more than 100 answers. Find out what are the results.
This time around we introduce you to Michael Posch, General Manager of Regent Porto Montenegro with an exclusive interview and presents this awarded best resort meeting hotel in Behind the Scenes. Top meeting destinations of 2015 have been selected. Find out which national, regional and tourist towns meeting destinations will get the Meetings Star award. Also, find out if it is true that the more likes you have, the more you are worth, if the power of individuum is the ultimate power to have and if and how we can make the Meetings Industry more effective. We spoke to Carina Bauer (IMEX Group), Matthias Schultze (German Convention Bureau), Tracy Halliwell MBE (London & Partners), Igor Kovačević (Serbian Convention Bureau) and Roger Tondeur (MCI Headquarters Worldwide). The Ljubljana Marathon was run by several regional meeting players. We haven’t sweated with them on the track but we did our best to catch them at the finish line to get their thoughts and impressions.
We did not stop there. The Hidden Congress Guest was busy evaluating Luxury, Premium and Business hotels. We busted some myths about Maribor and Pula, we have been to Copenhagen, off the beaten MICE track journey took us to Trnulja and Golte, we have taken a look behind the scenes of Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel, we came, saw and conquered the IT&CMA 2015, we met the team of DT Croatia – Dubrovnik travel DMC and spoke to some Young Talents. This time around the Face2Face battle of the cities was between Ljubljana and Dublin and Belgrade and Prague.
Maja Vidergar from CD Congress Centre Ljubljana and Mojca Juhart from Terme Maribor made it in our Who is Who column. But that is far from being all. To find out what else is new, you will just have to pick up the magazine.
