The first 2016 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Ljubljana held from 22 to 24 May, was a spectacle worth seeing. The elegant event was supported by one of the best hotels in Ljubljana, Grand Hotel Union, that proudly welcomed and accommodated world-known model Petra Němcová and many Slovenian designers taking part at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Ljubljana.
In the past year Ljubljana has joined the exclusive list of cities and venues throughout Europe and elsewhere in the world, where the prestigious German car brand every year since 1996, creates high added value and through this extremely valuable platform also presents new designs and technology of Mercedes- Benz.
Two Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week events are planned in Ljubljana this year. The latest, May edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Ljubljana, just ended and was sold out. Fashion lovers were able to attend 5 fashion shows presenting the Fall-Winter collections for 2016 and meet the gorgeous model Petra Němcová who visited Ljubljana for the first time. In an interview for RTV Slovenija she said: “My expectations came true. Ljubljana is really a very beautiful and green city. The architecture reminds me of Prague. But not only the architectural details, the feel of the city is similar. In the morning the church bells evoked in me tranquillity, as at home.”
Next event will be held in October. Grand Hotel Union will continue to be a part of tradition in the making. Standing out since 1905 with its premium location and service quality, this fall Grand Hotel Union will be offering showrooms to the most outstanding fashion creations of Slovenian designers.
