The 21st Microsoft NT conference was again held in Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož between 16th and 18th of May 2016. The most important technological gathering in Slovenia attracted 2.011 visitors and offered 129 lectures by 150 national and international experts from the IT field.
This May, IT experts and developers, as well as HR managers, marketing managers and decision makers in finance and sales gathered in Portorož at already the 21st Microsoft NT Conference. The event that considers Portorož its home was in the past briefly moved to Bled, but returned to the lovely coastal town again in 2015.
Aside to some evening festivities, Microsoft NT conference has always been fully hosted by Bernardin Group Resorts & Hotels, as so was also this year. The main programme was held in different halls of Grand Hotel Bernardin’s congress centre, while speakers, organizers and delegates were accommodated also in Hotel Histrion and Hotel Vile Park, all operating under the hotel chain Bernardin Group Resorts & Hotels.
Organized by Microsoft Slovenija, the educational and expert event of 2016 again presented ways on how to include IT trends and solutions in our everyday business processes and how to effectively use them in our business challenges. Over three days, 150 speakers shared their knowledge in content segment dedicated to topics like business transformation, data and analytics, productivity, business solutions, development tools, internet of things, development of Apps, etc. Among the experts were also foreign guests like editor-in-chief of the British edition of the Wired magazine, David Rowan, and founder of Government Digital Service organization, Tom Loosemore.
The gathering also presents an important platform for personal meetings with business partners and some of the topmost experts so networking and business meetings were also high on the list of priorities for many attending. NT Conference again did a good job of mixing business with pleasure. Every day the delegates were able to unwind after a long day of learning at social events organized in Monfort Salt Warehouse and The Church in front of St. Bernardin’s Church where a concert by the famous Slovenian singer Magnifico warmed up the crowd.
We can expect Microsoft NT conference to return to Portorož for another edition in May 2017.
