From 14 to 17 September 2016, Grand Hotel Union hosted The International Symposium for Innovations and New Treatment Strategies in Heart Failure. More than 150 international experts from almost 90 internationally recognized faculties shared comprehensive updates in the treatment of advanced heart failure.
The international symposium for Innovations and New Treatment Strategies in Heart Failure was this year organized for the 9th time and was dedicated to Branislav (“Brano”) Radovancevic, internationally known leader in transplantation research at the Texas Heart Institute who died in 2007.
BRANO Heart Failure Forum was in previous years held all over Europe; from cities like Bratislava, Krakow, Belgrade, Zagreb, Portorož, Opatija to this year in Ljubljana, the European Green Capital of 2016.
The comprehensive four day programme that consisted of 14 panel sessions with internationally renowned speakers mainly from the United States of America, demanded a full congress service. The organizers thus decided to hold the symposium at Union Hotels that next to a full congress offer also boast a top-notch city centre location that is a great starting point for international guests to explore Ljubljana’s treasures. Next to hotel accommodation and conference halls Union Hotels provided also the technical support and catering along with the farewell reception for around 150 guests.
All in all, this year’s International “Branislav Radovancevic” Memorial Heart Failure Symposium was again a great success.
