The Hungary’s capital is an amazing art and historical centre with the river Danube separating Buda and Pest side of the city, both having unique identities. This wonderful city and Hungary capital maintains its hold as one of Europe’s most alluring cities, so it is no wonder that an international hotel chain Ritz-Carlton opened their first hotel in Hungary precisely in Budapest in the middle of April this year. Located in the heart of the cultural and shopping district, the property is literally on the doorstep of Budapest’s historic sites and minutes away from the glittering Danube River.

A new, attractive hotel in a vibrant city

With the opening of hotel, Hervé Humler, President and Chief Operations Officer, The Ritz-Carlton said: “It is an absolute privilege to open the first Ritz-Carlton hotel in Hungary. The Ritz-Carlton service standards are globally recognised and we’re delighted to bring them to a new market. Budapest is an extraordinary city and perfectly placed to welcome the newest property in our portfolio. But not only are we looking forward to welcoming our guests and sharing our vision and service standards, we are also excited to become an integral part of the thriving, vibrant city itself”.

The new Ritz-Carlton hotel, a luxury property with 170 elegant rooms and 30 suites, is located within a protected historic building, located on Elizabeth Square, with views over St Stephens Basilica. It has 2 restaurants, focusing on Deak Street Kitchen, a Hungarian Wine Bar & Grill serving world famous award winning wines and international comfort favourites from local ingredients with a real Budapest twist and guest can enjoy at an outside terrace overlooking vibrant Fashion Street.

The Kupola Lounge is ideally placed for a leisurely farmer’s market breakfast or light lunch overlooking the hotel lobby and a fresh, contemporary bar of Ritz-Carlton focuses on serving innovative cocktails in a metropolitan, sophisticated ambiance. The hotel facilities also have an amazing ballroom, seating 180 people that gives the Budapest a perfect new location for milestone celebrations and meetings. And let’s not forget the Spa and Fitness Centre, flooded with natural light on the top of the building.
