What about Plan B in case of bad weather?
You should know that Ptuj is the town with the highest number of sunny days in Slovenia , but yes, Sava Team has a B plan as well!

Indoor activities in case of a bad weather:

  • Meditation/tai-chi/dance lessons in Club Gemina XIII
  • Wine tasting in Club Gemina XIII (with sommelier from the wine cellar)
  • Workshop with our doctors, lecturers (motivation at work, how to cope with stress)
  • Visit “korentija” workshop (brave attendees can also get dressed in a costume)

Rich fruit and vegetable smoothies served as welcoming drinks and creative vegetable snacks are just a beginning of the culinary offer. The inspiration for these beautifully prepared and colourful snacks comes from the carnivalesque vibe of the city of Ptuj that gives a special taste to the gastronomic offer of the hotel throughout the whole year.

Historic cities and destinations are especially attractive to event organizers since they offer more possibilities in providing more diverse event content. Ptuj boasts a set of distinctive city attributes that at the Grand Hotel Primus know how to benefit best from. Namely, the Roman heritage of the city is revealed to participants at the welcome reception, where guests are ritually welcomed by costumed warriors and Roman vestal. This is an excellent example of a great starting point for creating a good event story that can be continued in a more relaxed atmosphere by the pool with a Roman feast and in a subdued environment with the sounds of the harp in the background.

Another great and unique story that can add value to the event is “kurentovanje” or the Ptuj carnival events. You can experience a part of these events throughout the year. Among others you can visit the workshop “korentija”, where costumes for the carnival mask Kurent are being made.

Since the Grand Hotel Primus is part of Terme Ptuj wellness resort, known for a long spa tradition, the hotel offers a variety of preventive medical examinations and treatments, which can also be interesting for the participants of business meetings and conferences. The hotel’s focus on healthy living is mostly and best revealed through its cuisine. Recently they introduced the menus “Be Fit” which follow the modern trends of the so-called “Brain food.”

On the occasion of conferences and business meetings the menus are prepared in order to ensure balanced meals that give participants extra energy. The Chef of the hotel’s restaurant professionally and enthusiastically presents different ways of preparing energy meals and invite participants to help him with the preparations. If however the energy level drops during the conference, the hotel offers an alternative method to boost your energy, a 15-minute workout with the tai-chi master will certainly do the trick.

Sava Tourism is promising an overall sensory experience of the city of Ptuj. And they keep their promise: fresh flavours, colourful dishes that reminiscent the colourful masks of Kurents, the scent of lavender in the rooms, the sounds of the Roman harp, a view of the Drava river and the panoramic views from Ptuj castle are only a few of the highlights that left a positive and memorable impression on us… One day is certainly not enough to experience everything Terme Ptuj has to offer. In order to get the whole experience of the destinations here’s a simple advice, come and try it yourself!
