In a memorable lifestyle-incentive experience, 24 managers of a multinational company in the optical industry could admire the famous yachting race directly from the Mediterranean Sea.

The boutique agency InspireME Monte Carlo, specialized in high end experiential individual travel experiences, conceived a unique stay in Saint-Tropez for 24 managers of a multinational company in the optical industry, during one of the last major events of the sailing season, before winter: les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.

The small town on the French Riviera got excited to a full nine days around this nautical competition. The owners of the 300 participating boats came from every corner of the world to do battle in the Mediterranean. There were modern as well as vintage boats, with over 100 years of sailing behind.

Saint-Tropez at its best

Guests’ stay, lasting from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2, provided InspireME with the chance to rattle off all its expertise in letting experience and appreciate the atmosphere of the places, beyond the luxury they can express – luxury that in the case of Saint-Tropez goes without saying: home to yachts and a steady stream of moneyed people, this town has an obvious worldly vocation, retaining however beautiful corners of yore, dotted with its red tiled roofs, the bell tower and a greatly charming historic centre. Accompanied by the staff members, participants made their debut on Friday night with a dinner at the typical Brasserie des Arts, and on Saturday morning, before boarding the catamaran, they breathed the authenticity of Saint-Tropez along the old fishermen’s quarter, the Place des Lices where you play petanque in the shade of the plane trees, the big market on Saturday morning in a blaze of food, flowers, clothes and antiques, an unforgettable experience.

They then covered the landscape from the seventeenth-century citadel, which offers a magnificent view, and – duty concession to luxury – they had lunch in the garden of the Dior restaurant, one of the most renowned in the world, directed by chef (three Michelin stars) Yannick Alléno between eighteenth-century scenes, marble and terracotta floors.

Saturday night a dinner was scheduled at L’Opera restaurant, one of the most famous of Saint-Tropez, overlooking the harbour and with an excludive music show. The whole was concluded on Sunday, with a lunch “in the sun” at the famous Club 55 in Ramatuelle, and an afternoon on the beach bed – inevitable touch to SaintTropez!
