Grass Roots Meetings & Events US tops off most successful year

Grass Roots Meetings & Events US is starting 2017 in a strong position following one of its most successful years.

In 2016, the New York arm of the organisation picked up two prestigious awards. At the 13^th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, Jenny Lust, vice president of Operations at the US arm of Grass Roots Meetings & Events, was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Female Executive of the Year category.

The company also received a Silver Stevie® Award in the Community Involvement Program of the Year category for its partnership with local charity Covenant House, which raised $22,000 through a sponsored “Sleep Out.” The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are one of the world’s top honours for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organisations they run.

In addition, for the second year running, the office has been named in Crain’s Best Places to Work in New York City. The survey and awards program identifies, recognises, and honours the best employers in New York City, benefiting the city’s economy, workforce and businesses. The Grass Roots submission highlighted a number of initiatives such as work from home options, generous maternity and paternity policies and paid time allocation to employee volunteering initiatives.

The Grass Roots New York office is looking to build on this success in 2017, with other achievements including being certified by the Great Place to Work® Institute and being included at number 1,222 on the 35th annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
