The trade show creates great possibilities to promote the outdoor and active tourism which is definitely one of Slovenian main strategic directions considering the enormous possibilities Slovenian nature offers, from lakes, rivers, Adriatic see, mountains, amazing green surroundings (with 60 % forest area, Slovenia is the 4th country in Europe among countries that are most covered with forest), etc.

This year Natour presented the first day of the fair with 13 Slovenian exhibitors presenting themselves to 20 foreign agencies from Poland, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Netherlands, Romania and Malta. The B2B concept of this boutique trade show represents a great combination of offers and demands for active break in the nature with prearranged meetings in a relaxed business atmosphere and personal touch which contribute to many new business contacts and business realizations in the end. The meetings were enriched by professional-business conference which was organized by Hiking & Biking Slovenia, presenting the latest trends for active lifestyle and some amazing case studies. After Natour trade show a 2-day study trip for foreign hosted buyers was organized in cooperation with Institute for tourism and sustainable development Solčavsko with goal to know and experience Slovenian nature, culture and hospitality from the first hand.

The Hiking & Biking Slovenia and Toleranca Marketing, together with a support of Slovenian Tourist Board, have been organizing the trade show Natour for several years now, ever since 2009. From the first trade show to 2015, Natour was hosted by different Slovenian destination linked to active tourism. Since 2016 the trade show Natour is organized as a part of Natour Alpe Adria fair. In the past 8 years, the fair has linked 283 exhibitors and 271 hosted buyers from 24 different countries, who concluded over 4.200 business meetings.

Again, trade show Natour offered some amazing destinations and presented new ideas for active and sustainable tourism, since whole region is highly developing in this sort of tourism and there is literally always something new to discover. And most important of all, the boutique trade show offers personal contacts and live experience of the destinations. In the upcoming years organizers plan to extend the offer to the Alpe Adria region, which would attract many more exhibitors and increase the interest from foreign agencies.
