The fifth annual MICE Arabia and Luxury Travel Congress attracted more than 60 global suppliers and 150 buyers through its doors in its most successful edition to date. Showcasing the best of business and luxury travel, the congress was held earlier this month, at Palazzo Versace Dubai.
A fantastic networking opportunity for the industry, more than 1,800 mutually matched and pre-selected appointments took place over the two days.
The event’s packed schedule included panel discussions, keynote presentations and round table discussions, which focused on the tremendous potential of the GCC outbound market, cutting across luxury, MICE and sports sectors.
Sidh N.C., Director of QnA International, the congress organiser, revealed that 2017 figures, and feedback from the event, demonstrate an increase in both confidence and business metrics across major industry sectors in the GCC.
An official from Dubai-based tour operator Cox & Kings echoed the positive feedback for the event: “It’s a good platform for B2B buyers and sellers to meet in a focused format, as well as an excellent opportunity for people to come under one roof. There are some serious business conversations happening during the meetings and networking, so the objective of coming to the event was met.”
A representative from Sofitel, Los Angeles added: “The appointments were very engaging. It was very well-organised and I see a good ROI coming from the event.”
