Copenhagen’s new large multi arena, the Royal Arena, has a capacity for up to 16,000 guests.

Copenhagen residents and city guests are now able to enjoy the international level arena, large enough for national and international music, cultural and sports events which will enhance the international profile of the city.

Located in the New Town area of Ørestad close to the Bella Center congress venue and only a 10 min. metro ride from downtown Copenhagen, the Royal Arena opened its doors for the very first time with three sold-out concerts by the world’s biggest heavy-metal band, Metallica. And other big names will follow throughout 2017.

“I’m pleased that the Danish capital now has an arena so that Copenhagen can hold its own against cities such as London, Berlin, Stockholm and Hamburg. It will give space for many exciting events for Copenhageners and guests. The arena will also attract growth to Copenhagen and the greater Copenhagen region as well as even more investment in Ørestad”, said the Copenhagen Lord Mayor, Frank Jensen.
