Effective 1 August 2017, Jörg Seyffart (49) will be appointed to the Messe Frankfurt Extended Board of Management as Chief of Finance. He will take over this position, together with overall responsibility for all financial areas, from his predecessor Klaus Münster-Müller, who is to retire after 29 years at the leading trade fair organiser.
As Chief of Finance, Jörg Seyffart will be responsible for the Group’s financial controlling worldwide. As a member of the Extended Board of Management, he will – in addition to Subsidiary Management / Mergers & Acquisitions and the research functions – assume responsibility for Finance & Accounting and Corporate Controlling. Seyffart, a trained bank official and economics graduate, has been with Messe Frankfurt since 2010. In addition to relevant knowledge about Group companies, he has many years of international experience to his credit.
Effective 1 September 2017, Dr. Guido Kaupe (54) will be at the helm of both the Finance & Accounting and Corporate Controlling divisions within the area of Finance at Messe Frankfurt. He has a wealth of experience in a variety of positions in Controlling and Finance & Accounting, particularly with regard to developing and implementing efficient accounting structures and processes.
Dr. Kaupe, who has a doctorate in business administration, previously worked at Fraport AG, where he held a number of managerial positions in the area of Accounting from 2000 onwards, most recently as Head of Controlling in one of the company’s operational divisions. Between 2006 and 2011, he was also Managing Director of Energy Air GmbH, Fraport AG’s energy procurement and distribution subsidiary responsible for serving Frankfurt Airport. Prior to this, Dr. Kaupe held positions at Mannheim University and Mainz University and at Deutsche Post AG.
In his functions, Dr. Kaupe will report to Jörg Seyffart. The Chief of Finance will report to the Messe Frankfurt Executive Board, namely to President and CEO Wolfgang Marzin.
