GENERAL

Q: What do you love about your job the most?

My job is like a mix of nuts.  There’s events to be organized, people that need motivation, guests that need answers and the magic world of social media. And I love all of it. Seeing people enjoying the events brings me the biggest satisfaction.

Q: Where do you see the biggest opportunity in marketing and MICE industry?

Right now people need genuine interactions and different experiences. Most of the world went from office meetings to skype meetings and that sterile (although more time effective) interaction. Bringing people back together with a twist is the biggest opportunity that we have at the moment because the industry is craving for it. Short and to the point presentations and lots of non-forced fun always brings out the best results.

Q: How do you deal with marketing jungle on daily basis?

If we call it a jungle, let’s be monkeys not rodents. If we’re down by the roots we can’t see out of the jungle. We try to climb up and look out at the different industries and how we can incorporate that in our business. Everyone is trying to be different but if you just look at your own industry you’ll stay the same. Also pushing the envelope and trying things nobody has the guts to try works very well.

Q: How did the best events you attended so far make you feel?

Energized and curious. Every event that doesn’t let me sleep at night. Let it be a concert, convention or workshop. If it doesn’t bore me and makes me think of the details and the effort the organizer went through to make it just perfect it’s a great event.

PERSONAL – BACKGROUND

Q: Looking at your bucket list, what is the one thing that you really wish to cross off until the end of 2017?

I cross off a lot of things on a monthly basis, really. Maybe the trip towards the Himalayas with a really old and beaten up car and my bike, we’ll see. Business wise, I would like to organize an international event in our hotel.

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone (alive or dead), who would you have dinner with and why?

I guess I would like to have dinner with Nicola Tesla. I would love to see his thought process. Maybe it wouldn’t be a dinner but more a sandwich at his workshop. On a more personal note I would love to have a dinner with my grandma. I never had time and never thought about how much she taught me so I would like to thank her for that.

CROSSOVER CONFERENCE

Q: What would you share with our participants if you would have only one minute?

I would share our most successful event, how it came to the realization and what a logistical nightmare it was.

Q: What are you bringing to Conventa Crossover?

I’m bringing our green view on pop-up events in unusual places. I will present what kind of events we already organized and what can be achieved with just a bit of resourcefulness and lots of good will.
