A novel programme that incited fruitful discussion
The region’s premier festival and conference for event organisers and creative minds encompassed a diverse programme with a lineup of world-renowned speakers and festival organisers. One of the highlights was the thought-provoking Future Lab sessions, where attendees connected art with the world of events. This year’s novel F*!#ups at Events segment put a smile on everyone’s face as festival organisers delved into their past mistakes that helped them learn. Boris Kovaček, Gašper Pavli, Ivan Petrović, and Thiemo Gillissen then partook in a Ljubljana Talks discussion moderated by Gorazd Čad and Jan Oršič.
Starting in the morning, Pigalle Takavolli engaged the attendees with a meditational session, coupling neuroscience with experiences. Participants learned why experiences are tied to emotions and how they can create unique event designs tailored to their attendees. Taking the stage next was Christopher Kai, who has worked with some of the world’s leading brands and tech moguls, including Elon Musk.
The opening keynote sessions were followed by fire talks from Baltic Tigers, who uncovered why the Baltic region is the new hub of innovation and creativity. Opened by Mary Kirillova, several representatives of leading event agencies discussed the best-case practices and projects that win awards at the leading event competitions. Later in the afternoon, CEE Legends introduced the best events from Central Europe.
Ending the enticing programme was a session by Dan Podjed, who talked about the invisible life of waste and Stefan Hric, who presented Creative Pro Group’s regenerative Odpadnesh project.
Conventa Crossover is organised by Toleranca marketing and Conventa trade show in cooperation with Ljubljana Tourism, the Slovenian Tourist Board and the Slovenian Convention Bureau.
