Falstaff, Austrian oldest and highest-circulation gourmet and wine magazine declared Rovinj’s restaurant Wine Vault as one of the best restaurants in Croatia. Wine Vault is located at Rovinj’s luxury boutique Monte Mulini hotel and is surrounded by beautiful scenic views of Lone Bay. It gathered 92 points out of 100 based on the quality of food, service, wine list and atmosphere of the restaurant. It was rated by 240.000 readers of the magazine and earned three Falstaff forks.
This represents a bright future for Rovinj’s luxury tourism and tourism overall; in 2016 Rovinj was among the most visited destinations in Istria besides Poreč and Medulin and Istria has record numbers of overnight stays in 2016.
2017 seems to be a special year for Rovinj’s culinary – in February Monte restaurant received a prestigious Michelin star, which is a first Croatian restaurant to receive a Michelin star. Luxury restaurants provide a great option for MICE industry and special dinner opportunities, such as gala dinners, opening ceremonies or special guests treats.
Falstaff’s recognition is a great confirmation for Maistra’s restaurants; restaurants that also received a recognition by Falstaff are Adriatic Brasserie, Lone hotel’s restaurant and Mediterraneo, which also operates within five star Monte Mulini.
