From August 28th to September 1st, over 1,100 professionals from 58 countries are in Tallinn to attend the 68th Annual Meeting of the European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP).

This major gathering takes place in the Nordea Concert Hall, located in the heart of Tallinn just a short stroll from the historical Old Town and many more of the city’s essential sights.

EAAP 2017 builds on the success of previous EAAP meetings, which in recent years have been held in such cities as Belfast, Warssaw, Copenhagen and Nantes. The Tallinn meeting provides an excellent opportunity for scientists working with a wide range of animal species and in related disciplines to meet and discuss the latest developments in animal sciences.

Kadri Karu, Managing Director of the Estonian Convention Bureau, said: “We are incredibly pleased that Tallinn was selected as the host site for such a pivotal meeting. Credit is due to one of the participants of our Conference Ambassador Programme, Ms Haldja Viinalass of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, whose hard work was instrumental in bringing this conference to Estonia.“

In conjunction with the EAAP event, the 2017 Interbull Annual Meeting was also be held in Tallinn, from August 25th to 27th.
