On October 25 and 26 the third International MICE Geography Show was held – the largest annual event of the Russian MICE industry. The organizer was the Russian Association of Business Travel (ABT-ACTE Russia). The extensive business, educational and entertainment program was organized with the support of the Department of Sport and Tourism of Moscow – on the first day a workshop was held, on the second day – a conference and a gala dinner. The total number of participants amounted to more than 800 this year.
The B2B workshop was the key event of IMG Show. The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow was chosen as its venue. 100 exhibitors held business meetings with corporate buyers of business travel services in order to make new acquaintances and to establish mutually beneficial cooperation. The conversation with one exhibitor lasted not more than 15 minutes – this rule has allowed the both parties to hold the maximum number of talks. The total amount of meetings held during the day was about 2000. The guests included Moscow and regional corporate buyers, the members of the Hosted buyers program. The representatives of the business travel and MICE industry held seminars in the buyers lounge.
On the next day, the educational conference was held in the Museum of Russian Impressionism. Against the background of masterpieces, the speakers devoted their speeches to such burning topics as the art of presentations, cultural differences, consumer trends, safety, collaboration of event venues and event organizers, charity. Then market experts discussed MICE technologies during the panel discussion.
The day ended with the gala dinner in Shelk Banquet Hall. Apart from the entertainment program that included master classes and performance, the winners of the virtual tender competition were announced, and their projects were demonstrated in video format.
