It’s like the weather synchronized with the biggest skiing fair and exhibition in Ljubljana, called the Snowflake (Snežinka), taking place from today until Sunday, 3rd December 2017 at GR – Ljubljana and Exhibition and Convention Centre. Each year, before the start of the ski season, Ljubljana opens the door of its famous Ski fair and exhibition “Snežinka” where everybody can find something for winter fun. And it looks like the Slovenian capital Ljubljana is ready for winter :)

The biggest ski-fair in Slovenia, already the 48th, will present itself to more than 15,000 visitors in one place between 30th November 3rd December 2017 at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, precisely at their Marmorna and Marble Hall. The fair and exhibition brings together providers of winter sport services, manufacturers of skiing equipment and those buying and selling used skiing equipment. Basically in one place a varied selection of new and used ski equipment and presentation of ski centres.

Our suggestion:
Visit the Ski fair and exhibition “Snežinka”, get yourself winter equipment for enjoying the magic winter time and head straight to the neighbour hills or ski slopes Slovenia offers. In case you visit the fair on Friday – don’t forget to stop by the Ljubljana city’s centre just a few minute walk from GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre and participate at the “Ljubljana’s festive lights switch-on event / next to the Prešeren monument in the central town square of Ljubljana, precisely at 5:15 PM the city will turn the lights on and the December magic can start.

Skiing in Slovenia:
Slovenia, homeland of great Tina Maze, the most successful Slovenian ski racer in history with a career that culminated with two gold medals at the 2014 Winter Olympics, is known for the love of winter sports, from skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, etc. The small country offers smaller ski resorts that are family-friendly and suitable for beginners, children and experienced skiers. Some of the most famous are Kranjska gora (Every year in March the Vitranc Cup takes place with international ski contestants), Rogla, Krvavec and Pohorje (famous for the Golden Fox competition, featuring World Cup alpine races for women).
