AN ATTRACTION OF ITS OWN
Strmol Castle is an attraction of its own. Nearby there is a city, named Cerklje na Gorenjskem with popular theme footpath, which covers part of the transitional hilly terrain, placed between two geographical units – the mountain world of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the flatlands of Kranj in the south, passing the Ljubljana basin. It serves to recognize the natural beauty, cultural heritage and other attractions in the Municipality of Cerklje. Most of the area with a rich cultural heritage is protected natural value, which is included in the Natura 2000. For its guests, Strmol Castle creates an image of life from past centuries and yet offers the complete comfort of the present time. This boutique castle has received the prestigious award »Unique Castle of the Year 2018« by Travel and Hospitality Awards.
