Eurelectric Power Summit is an annual leading forum where the power sector’s ecosystem connects, offering unique networking opportunities for European and international power sector executives, business stakeholders and partners. At the Summit, the leaders of change and industry captains challenge the mind-set and shape the business strategy needed to meet the energy future successfully. The Summit presents an opportunitiy to meet with the CEOs among the biggest electricity companies in Europe, get a first hand access to electrification report, and offers a prime access to pioneering energy start-ups in innovation.
This year’s EURELECTRIC Annual Convention & Conference 2018, hosted by Energy Chamber of Slovenia (Energetska zbornica Slovenije – GZS EN) will be held between 4 and 5 June in Ljubljana‘s Cankarjev dom – Cultural and Congress Centre. The Summit titled »Watt’s Next? New Players, Products and Peers« points out that the energy industry is at a tipping point for new players are entering the business, new products are disrupting markets, and customers and business relations are being revamped. The organisers in their message before the Summit add: »Who knows what’s next?«

To find answer to the question, business disrupters and industry captains will trigger participants to look into the future. What is the potential of an increased use of digital platforms across the energy system? What does it take for industry players to integrate sustainability objectives as ultimate business goals? How fast will carbon free electricity speed up the decarbonisation of other sectors? What solutions will future energy companies offer to enhance consumer relationships and engagement?

Thus, the Summit will focus on four distinct themes: »Changing times… changing minds«, »Embrace the future, think louder«, »Cross sectors, find value«, and »Building on customer relations (that last)«. The programme will include a side event on the energy transition investment challenges in South-Eastern Europe and an exclusive site visit to a hydropower plant. An Energy Innovation Space will complement the exhibition giving the opportunity for innovative energy start-ups to meet and engage with established industry leaders and pitch projects. And last, but not least, several social networking events are also foreseen over the two day Summit.

Cankarjev dom – Cultural and Congress Centre will, between the 4th and 5th June 2018, offer space for more than 50 C-level speakers, more than 500 delegates, and more than 20 sponsors and exhibitors from the European energy sector.
