A congress guest to Maribor should join a guided wine tour with a sommelier and discover the world of colours, scents and tastes of the best Slovenian wines

For all wine lovers, Maribor, the centre of Slovenia’s Styrian region, is the place to be. The influence of the wine tradition can be felt throughout the city.

A half-day wine tour takes approx. 5-6 hours, and includes a visit to the Oldest vine of the world and two other boutique vineries of Podravje region. With a professional interpretation of a wine expert – sommelier, it is possible to try about 15 different samples of wines with snacks.

All-day wine tour takes approx. 8-9 hours. In addition to the Oldest vine in the world, the participants in this incentive programme visit also two other vineyards in Podravje, and have a warm lunch with local food. The programme offers to taste around 18 different wines samples, commented by the sommelier.

Next to the half-day and all-day wine tour, it is also possible to arrange a multi-day wine tour. The organiser can prepare a wine tour that last for a few days (according to the agreement) to the best winemakers of Podravje, Posavje or Primorje wine regions. This tour is ideal for serious wine lovers who want to get to know the diversity and richness of the wine world of Slovenia.
