A gem located at the heart of the Bavarian capital

As part of its 160th anniversary, the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich has renovated its rooms and suites. It has been done with flair and a love for detail to offer its guests the standard and comfort they have come to expect at this gem located at the heart of the Bavarian capital. It furthermore secures the hotel’s prime position in Munich’s refined hospitality scene. Star designers Pierre Court (Pierre Court Design New York) and Colin Finnegan (FG Stijl) are responsible for the new design concept of the rooms, suites and corridors. Their brief: to conserve the royal history of the property whilst incorporating modern elements to pay homage to true sophistication.

Another focal point is the staging of Munich’s characteristics within the property. Guests already begin to experience this special ambience whilst walking along the carpeted floors, representing the Isar River, leading to their rooms and viewing the over-sized replicas of historic 19th century paintings of the metropolis which adorn the corridor walls. Amongst these images is the painting of the Marienplatz by Friedrich Eibner as well as a view of the city by Eugen Adam. The originals can be admired at the Munich’s City Museum. The theme continues throughout the rooms and suites where the colour scheme favours light and warm colours. 59 rooms and suites, as well as one of the presidential suites, were already renovated in 2017. A further 39 rooms and suites and one more presidential suite will be finalised this summer. One highlight of the renovation works is the redesign of the listed staircase. Rising up over five floors, this grand staircase has been renovated to its former glory evoking the flair of times gone by.
