Highly popular event to expand to the Middle East
Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bonnier Corporation to host the Sand Sports Super Show Middle East at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in 2020. The agreement was made during ADNEC’s visit to the United States, in line with its efforts to promote Abu Dhabi’s leading position in the Middle East as the regional capital for high-profile international exhibitions and conferences.
The MoU was signed by Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC and Jonathan Moore, Senior Vice President of Events for Bonnier Corporation at the Sand Sports Super Show in the United States in the presence of officials and senior executives of both companies.
Al Dhaheri emphasized that Abu Dhabi’s hosting of such prestigious events reflects the efforts of ADNEC and various public and private entities in the UAE to expand the reach of the Emirate’s business tourism sector. By encouraging and supporting new exhibitions and conferences, the business tourism sector is seen to boost its direct economic contribution to the national economy and bring about sustainable development.
“We are delighted to sign a cooperative agreement with ADNEC, which will host our inaugural event in the region, the Sand Sports Super Show Middle East in 2020,” said Jonathan Moore, Senior Vice President of Events for Bonnier Corporation. “We recognize Abu Dhabi’s importance as a leading destination for hosting these types of events and ADNEC has an exceptional reputation and world-class facilities that aptly serve the needs of the organizers.”
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center provides around 133,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space, as well as waterfront areas, which are the ideal choice for global and live events, which makes it one of the most advanced exhibition centers at the regional level in terms of technical equipment and modern facilities built according to highest international standards.
