The charity event TERIBEAR moves Prague, also known as a fun day with the bear, which was held for the fourth time by the Tereza Maxová Foundation, once again raised the bar with an astonishing 8,000 participants registered before the start of the event. This year, more than 16,000 people supported this unique event. They came to the Vítkov hill in Prague and together, they ran and walked an amazing 320,812.5 km. The total amount that was raised was an incredible 9,624,375 crowns!

The event is organized by the Tereza Maxová Foundation with the support of many partners who have also turned their mileage into financial aid. The Škoda Auto general partner supported every kilometer passed with a sum of CZK 30. Each of the participants could select one of 10 stories to which they wanted to contribute mileage to. Everybody, regardless of age, could be involved in the event, the only thing needed was the determination to help.

The start of this year’s TERIBEAR moves Prague, which took place non-stop for 10 days from the 6th to 15th of September, 2018 in Prague’s Vítkov, was traditionally supported by a number of celebrities whom you could spot on the track. Not only the patron of the event Tereza Maxová, but also Anna Geislerová, Jan Plodková and Renata Langmanová came to support!

The record of this year’s edition of the Teribear event moves Prague goes to Mr. Jan Čížek, who recorded a total of 724.5 km in 10 days. In the women’s category, Eva Vaidova ranked 567 km and won first place for the second year in a row. In the category of children, Jonas Klouda, who collected 285 kilometers, performed the best. In the category of teams, Accenture won with a total of 10,072.5 kilometers and the victory from the family teams goes to „Človíčci“ with a total of 1264.5 km. The awards were handed over by Tereza Maxová, together with tennist player Radek Štěpánek and a representative of the Škoda Auto partner, Bohdan Wojnar, a member of ŠKODA AUTO’s board of directors responsible for human resource management.

“I would like to thank everyone with all my heart for finding the time and the desire to help. There was an incredible atmosphere of solidarity in Vítkov during the ten days and I appreciate every step that professional runners, children and their grandparents took on the track. It was not speed that was important, but the desire to help, and the positive energy flowed through the trach throughout the event,” says Tereza Maxová, patron of the foundation.

On Wednesday, September 12th, there was double the amount of help as the charity track was also set up in Mlada Boleslav for one day thanks to the general partner of ŠKODA AUTO. The people who actively helped in Mladá Boleslav covered a total of 25,572 kilometers in one day. They raised 555,000 crowns for 4 selected children’s homes!

“I am very pleased that the TERIBEAR movement is taking place in Mlada Boleslav for the fourth time, with such great results. Due to the double amount of help, the sense of belonging and joy was strong all day, and I thank everyone for not being indifferent and supporting a good thing,” says patron of the foundation, Tereza Maxová.

Organizing the event and managing volunteers was the responsibility of C-IN. “Charity projects have been an integral part of our company for a long time. It’s great that this year, TERIBEAR has managed to raise so much money and we are pleased to have brought together a great group of people and volunteers who worked day and night to help others” says Alena Foltýnová, C-IN Project Manager. “Our partnership with C-IN has been going on for 16 years. Over the past four years, we have been organizing the unique TERIBEAR charity sport event with Prague. Thanks to the common synergy with the C-IN team, it soon became an extremely popular event and provided the widest public with the possibility of a ten-day nonstop event to help specific childrens‘ destinies. All you had to do was buy a chip, get on the track and help. Thanks to the perfect organization of the event, it was supported by more than 16 thousand people” adds Terezie Sverdlinová, director of the Tereza Maxova foundation.
