The annual ERS congress is the world’s largest scientific get-together for physicians, researchers and other specialists working in the field of pulmonology. Participants at the gathering will find out about the latest treatment options for lung and respiratory diseases at more than 400 scientific lectures and training sessions. The large-scale congress, returning to Vienna for the fifth time in 2020, is a global networking platform for pulmonary specialists from more than 100 countries.

About the Vienna Convention Bureau

The Vienna Convention Bureau acquires congresses, corporate events, and incentives worldwide. Established in 1969 as a department of the Vienna Tourist Board it is supported by the city of Vienna and the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. In 2017 more than 4,000 congresses and meetings held in Vienna generated 1.9 million overnight stays inducing GDP of more than EUR 1 billion. The latest rankings published by the International Congress and Convention Association ICCA (2nd place) and Union of International Associations UIA (4th place) confirm Vienna’s status as one of the world’s top meetings destinations.
