In the beginning of March, GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR) organised and hosted the 58th International Home Fair (Sejem Dom), the largest specialized international fair in the field of construction in Slovenia and neighbouring countries. The six-day event provided space for 528 companies from 26 countries to display their offers for the home, building trade, doors and windows, heating and cooling engineering, interior fittings, security, and landscaping.

The oldest and biggest regional fair of this kind was set in all the GR’s halls and in three more prefabricated halls built on the outdoor premises of the GR. The impressive surface of more than 20,000 square meters provided exhibition space for the fair with the slogan »Key sustainable solutions« for those who are building, constructing, refurbishing or planning to do that.

However, the GR’s Home Fair does not stop only at the exhibitors, but it annually brings added value with the current and sustainably oriented accompanying program for its visitors with more than 120 professional and independent free advice offers and lectures throughout the fair. Meaning, the key solutions to questions from those who are building, renovating or planning, were available from the experts of GI ZRMK – Building and Civil Engineering Institute ZRMK and the ENSVET – Eko Fund Network.

This year’s number of 54,000 visitors proves that GR is every year successful in its aim of emphasizing the importance of green and sustainable solutions. The GR’s policy in support for sustainability shows also in its collaborative project with LPP – Ljubljana’s Passenger Transport company. If the visitors bought the ticket to the fair via online presale, then they received a bus trip to the GR and back for free.
