Events hotel chain HUONE International has signed a deal with PFA pension group to provide creative meeting spaces and building services for Copenhagen’s newly-completed Amager Strand meeting and event venue, scheduled to open in spring 2019. The Copenhagen unit further develops the Building Powered by HUONE concept launch in Kamppi, Helsinki, in which HUONE and its staff powers all key functions within commercial real-estate locations.

Kim Revald, Technical Asset Manager at Thylander Gruppen, has been involved in the development of Amager Strand since the project’s initial planning phase. Thylander Gruppen manages the Amager Strand business community on behalf of its landlord, PFA pension group. “When creating the Amager Strand business community, we wanted a design solution that maximized the individual characteristics of this former industrial location,” he said.

“Secondly, we needed to choose the right blend of tenants for the space, as they would form the heart of the business community itself. Finally, we needed a full-service partner to power the possibilities of this multi-use building. By working with HUONE, we get all of the above.”

“We have seen HUONE’s professionalism over the course of our year-long cooperation” continues Revald. “There is a large demand from tenants for extra services that enhance facilities around coworkers and employees. We see HUONE’s drive to exceed the expectations of even the most demanding companies as an excellent fit for us and for PFA.”

HUONE (the Finnish word for room) International serves thousands of business meeting customers in its three full-service event venues in Helsinki and Singapore. The award-winning concept focuses on maximizing the meeting experience and the success of the customer. The Copenhagen launch will bring the total number of HUONE venues to four.

“HUONE already helps meeting organizers find success in one of the world’s toughest meeting and conference industry markets, Singapore. We understand Copenhagen is a market with very knowledgeable meeting and event customers and a vast offering of venues, so we are excited to take on this new opportunity to exceed customer expectations and introduce the HUONE concept to Copenhagen,” Evon Söderlund, Founder and CEO of HUONE, comments.

The interior of the 3,800 square-meter space will be completely transformed into a full-service 20-room meeting venue designed to spark creativity, accompanied by a restaurant, bar, and common areas.

HUONE in Copenhagen keeps the group on track to meet its international expansion goal. The company is currently scouting potential future locations in the Nordics and Central Europe.
