M.I.C.E.-in-the-bag announces the success of its sixth event in London on 20th March 2019 at The Marriott Regent’s Park, The Hilton Paddington and Millennium Gloucester hotels. The unique formula events are invitation-only gatherings between MICE
suppliers and budget-approved buyers – fostering a friendly straight-to-business approach which saves time and investment for both parties, and therefore greater possibilities in price and value offerings. The event included businesses from a broad range of European countries including Greece, Malta, Slovenia, UK, Germany, Spain and Holland.

Initial matches are arranged between buyers and suppliers, according to their needs, and meetings take place throughout the event in a relaxed environment. Keynote speaker of the evening was Justin Roux of Shift Actions, communications advisor to M.I.C.E. in the bag and a business strategy and engagement specialist. Justin presented insights into making service-experience a successful business and then coordinated a discussion about tensions in the MICE supply chain between buyers and suppliers. While Brexit and volatility in exchange rates were an obvious concern, an exit poll of the audience revealed a shortfall in understanding and an expectation of digital disruption in the industry.

Other points of discussion included competition from emerging destinations, security, and decreasing opportunities for qualified B2B meetings – indicating an increase in demand for the MICE-in-the-bag formula.
