On the basis of 1.5 million of hotels, restaurants and attractions worldwide, experts have awarded Ljubljana with Expert’s Choice and TripExpert Best of Ljubljana accolades. Slovenia’s capital thus got enriched with 20 landmarks, 10 restaurants and 41 accommodation facilities boasting the titles of the best by Expert’s Choice. The fact that less than 2% of the world’s attractions, hotels and restaurants receive the award, gives to these awards an even greater weight.
For the fourth consecutive year, the selection of the best was done by the commission based on the records of tourism experts in leading publications such as travel guides, magazines, newspapers and major blogs. The selection of winners in 2019 is based on more than 1.5 million estimates for 500 destinations worldwide. With the recommendations of publications such as the Condé Nast Traveler, The Telegraph, Lonely Planet, Michelin Guide, Afar Magazine, Fodor’s, Frommer’s, Inside Guides and others, the Ljubljana Castle, NUK, Triple Bridge, the City Square and the Ljubljana Market were selected for the best Ljubljana attractions.
As the best restaurants, they listed Strelec Restaurant, Restaurant Pri Škofu, Castle Restaurant, Restaurant Na gradu, and Klobasarna. As the best hotels, Vander Urbani Resort, Hotel Cubo, Antiq Palace Hotel & Spa, Grand hotel Union, and Adora hotel were listed. The evaluators awarded the TripExpert Best of Ljubljana and Expert’s choice to all of them.
