Two full days of pure inspiration, three stages, more than 24 international speakers and over 3,000 visitors make the Chefdays Austria’s largest food symposium. On 27 and 28 May 2019, world-famous chefs will captivate their audience with forward-looking concepts and innovative techniques. A total of 24 creative keynote speakers present their culinary talents and their versatile philosophies and illustrate how exciting the future of gastronomy looks like. Whether on the main stage or at the masterclasses in the Expo area, unusual topics dominate the program. In addition, the best chefs in Austria will be announced at the 50 Best Chefs Austria on May 27th and afterwards celebrated until the early morning hours at the legendary Chefdays party.

NUTS STAGE

Not only cooking is at CHEFDAYS this year. For the first time, the Gastro-Congress “NUTS” will be held at Austria’s largest food symposium. Nuts (English for nuts or crazy) lives up to its name. At the NUTS stage, more than 30 of the world’s most successful restaurateurs deliver rousing young entrepreneur workshops, gastro sessions for innovative restaurateurs, unforgettable, uplifting, moving and inspiring fuck-up talks about their defeats and what they learned from them to have.

THE LINEUP

Which exceptional talents of the international cooking elite will roll over the big stage this year? Every month a new keynote speaker is presented on www.chefdays.at. It starts with one of the best chefs in the world. 31-year-old Peruvian Pía León conquers the Andean region with her no less famous husband Virgilio Martínez. The gourmet duo heaved the restaurants Mil and Central – # 6 of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants – according to the international cooking Olympus. In the summer of 2018, the top chef in Peru’s capital Lima finally fulfilled her dream of having her own restaurant.

In the Kjolle, however, no fixed menu is offered, everything should be a bit more relaxed than in the Central and work exclusively with Peruvian ingredients, especially with vegetables and seafood. For her exceptional work, the young top chef was named Latin America’s Best Female Chef 2018 and will be presenting the incredibly exciting product world of the Peruvian Andes at CHEFDAYS.
