Munich Convention Bureau and 32 Booth Partners at IMEX in Frankfurt

Spot on: Spring” is the motto of the city of Munich’s spring campaign that is promoting “bright ideas” for a stay in the metropolis on the Isar River. At IMEX in Frankfurt (21 to 23 May 2019) the Munich Convention Bureau will be projecting impressions of very special highlights of the Bavarian capital on an enormous LED screen: the shimmering Isar, for example, or sunbeams twinkling through the leafy roof of a beer garden. Because even people travelling to Munich for congresses, conferences, and trade fairs like to enjoy the unique flair of the city.

32 renowned partners such as hotels, event locations, and agencies will be presenting their MICE offerings at the Munich Convention Bureau’s booth at IMEX. A waiting list even had to be made because there were more applicants than space. Together with Weichlein Tours + Incentives, the Munich Convention Bureau is also sponsoring the “Be Well” lounge where yoga sessions are to be held in a relaxed atmosphere.

Innovations 2019

Naturally the Munich Convention Bureau once again has innovations up its sleeve. As of April, for example, “Hi-Sky München”, the world’s biggest mobile Ferris wheel, is turning in the Werksviertel (a former factory district) and receiving conference guests in the VIP gondola. The opening of MOTORWORLD Munich in Munich-Freimann is planned for 2020. Former workshops will be transformed into a unique venue with automotive flair, also including the new AMERON Hotel Motorworld.

Iconic Places, Cult Locations

The booth partners’ locations bear witness to the vast variety of possibilities that Munich has to offer. Right out front is the Messe Muenchen Locations with its four sites. The Science Congress Center Munich on the TUM campus in Garching inspires with an environment of high tech and leading research. Event locations with a sporting spirit are provided by the Olympiapark München and the Allianz Arena/ FC Bayern Muenchen. Motor sports fans will find the BMW Group (BMW Group Event Forum), BMW Group Classic and BMW Driving Experience very tempting.

When horses are not giving their best in the SHOWPALAST MUENCHEN it is also an event location of many variations. Adrenaline fans should check out Jochen Schweizer Arena. The Munich food scene is also on board with traditional enterprises like the Löwenbräukeller beer hall, the brewery restaurant Paulaner am Nockherberg, the Park Café München and Schuhbecks Catering and Eventservice.
