THE HOST CITY: THE HAGUE

GES 2019 is to be held in the European Union for the first time. The Summit has found a perfect match with the profile of the city of The Hague, where businesses, international organizations and creative minds come together to work towards a safe, better and righteous world. Doing good and doing business forms the very heart and soul of The Hague’s economy.

“Every day tens of thousands of people in The Hague are working towards a better, safer and a more just world. They work in international organisations, NGOs, and various start-ups as well as the Peace Palace – the symbol of international justice. Here we empower impact entrepreneurs and support innovation and technology to improve our planet.”, affirms Pauline Krikke, mayor of The Hague.

Furthermore The Hague brings the benefits of a cosmopolitan city with small town charm and a distinctive quality of life that ranks at the very top of international surveys. No matter where you are in the city, you are never far away from the 11 kilometers (7 miles) stretch of sandy beach. The ideal place to take a break from life’s hustle and bustle and to find inspiration for new ideas and make a difference in this world.
