The main topics of this year’s European burn club workshop (ECPB 2019) were modern technologies, ie lasers, artificial leather, nanofibers, and simulations of the process after a mass accident in associated with a large number of burned children. The workshop also included the presentation of KPM FNKV work in the non-profit sector within the Bolíto association. The program was sparked with new presentation formats, such as www night (what, went, wrong), where three prominent speakers presented their professional failures from which they learned and which can help all of us to avoid similar mistakes.

“I think that the ECPB 2019 workshop was an ideal opportunity to establish further contacts and deepen the collaboration that our KPM FNKV has been developing with, for example, the University of Zurich or Schriners Hospital in Galveston, USA. We managed to attract very interesting personalities from all over the world to Prague. An important guest was undoubtedly Dr. Habib Quasim, who established the Children’s Burns Department in Kabul and was awarded the prestigious Zora Janžekovič prize in 2018″, said MD. Robert Zajíček, PhD., Head of KPM FNKV.
