BRDO ESTATE
The Brdo Estate near Kranj represents a unique study of history, culture, architecture and nature thanks to 500 years of uninterrupted development. Many of the park’s trails lead visitors past buildings from various historical times. It is one of the most popular slovenian meetings venue and a relaxed getaway for nature lovers and those who appreciate the services at the highest level.
The estate is also a home of Brdo Castle, a renaissance chateau built in 16thCentury. It is characterized by four dominant corner towers and it presented as home for many prominent people of previous times. Today, Brdo Castle is the most important diplomatic protocol building in Republic of Slovenia. Through its history, it hosted presidents, kings, and diplomats from all over the world.
Brdo Park is a part of the Brdo Estate as well. With its forests and pleasant meadows it serves as an excellent place to relax in the nature. Lakes, walking paths and meadows are hidden between avenues and are completely displaced from everyday bustle. There is more than 70 hectares of untouched nature.
You can also find find a marvelous golf course on the estate, which offers a game in the embrace of Alps. Here, you can enjoy fresh air to the full and admire peaceful natural environment. Golf course on Brdo Estate has 9 holes, bouncing course, two practice greens and pitch & putt golf course with three holes.
One of the more important places on the estate is also Congress Centre Brdo. It offers modern technical equipment which enables performance of various high level events.
