The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre‘s (the Centre) General Manager, Alan Pryor celebrating the presentation of the cheques of RM4,000 to each organisation with the over 70 children from Living Hope and Yayasan Generasi Gemilang (GG), as well as close to 40 National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Malaysia patients and their families, which the venue recently welcomed during its Hari Raya Open House.

Pryor, shared “This year as part of our community engagement initiatives our buka puasa was focused on ‘Embracing the Joy of Giving in the Month of Ramadan’. As part of this initiative, we committed to donate 5% of the proceeds from all our Ramadan buka puasa public bookings to our nominated charities. We raised RM12,000 in total and donated the full amount equally across the three organisations.”

He continued, “We are extremely happy with the amount of money raised for Living Hope, Yayasan Generasi Gemiling and National Kidney Foundation Malaysia, who are dear friends of the Centre and have been honoured guests at our buka puasa gatherings for many years. We are delighted with the bond that has been built with all three organisations and we look forward to continuing our engagement.”

All guests were then treated to a delicious fusion of traditional and modern dishes together with Ramadan favourites specially prepared by the Centre’s award-winning Chefs. The evening ended with Pryor and the senior management team handing out sweet treats and duit raya to all the children.
