The luxury temporary store has been conceived as a “seafront salon” in Porto Cervo, which for the second year running will host world famous brands, original events and luxury ateliers along with a rich programme of events for kids, featuring Warner Bros characters.
Created to provide visitors from all over the world with an experience characterised by a rich line up of events and entertainment in one of Italy’s most glamorous locations, the Waterfront Costa Smeralda, designed by the architect Giò Pagani, created and managed by Filmmaster Events on behalf of Smeralda Holding, is an irresistible “street of absolute style“, with world-famous brands, international music events and luxury ateliers, set in an exceptional landscape along the dock of Porto Vecchio.
Black iron, wood and glass are the materials of choice, skilfully used for the construction of the facility which presents itself as an exclusive and elegant outdoor salon, surrounded by sparkling and inviting window displays. Several exhibition squares have been set up along the path, showcasing cars and vessels. Just like in 2018, the area in front of the Quattro Passi al Pescatore restaurant will host the Nikki Beach lounge-bar, featuring a new bar layout and a spacious salon.
The salon opened its doors to the public on Saturday 6th July, with the first of a series of concerts set to bring the season to life. The evening was inaugurated by catering entrepreneur, showman and musician Joe Bastianich, who has evolved from protagonist of Waterfront 2018 to veritable testimonial, opening the new edition with a performance together with his band, the Joe Bastianich Project. They were followed on stage by Morcheeba who entertained the public for over an hour.
Numerous events and evening entertainment scheduled for the 2019 Waterfront programme, with a new area designed to host different kinds of shows: music, cabaret, prose, with an adjustable stage according to programmed events. 2019 also brings further innovation in the form of the total redesign and reorganisation of digital channels, offering all participating brands the chance to propose their own contents on a daily basis, both on the Waterfront website and on the Instagram profile. The site’s new functionalities will reach out to a large number of users, arousing their interest and prompting their rapid response, with the presentation of proposals and initiatives available at every single pod.
