The electropop diva and the Irish avant-garde queen, Roisin Murphy, known for her work with Moloko, an alternative dance sensation in the 1990s, and for her four solo albums is returning to Ljubljana for the third time. She will present some of her new hits from the All My Dreams project, and her older hits such as Overpowered, Let Me Know, and many others.
She will share the stage in Kocka Hall of the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre with top musicians who will mix electronics with live performances. Roisin Murphy’s concerts are a unique visual and musical experience. With an intriguing and sophisticated stage performance, she provides an ever new and fresh experience of her music.
Such a prominent concert, organized by Črni Poni (Black Pony), set in the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR) is aligned with the venue’s character of carrying out all types of events, spanning from congress, seminars, workshops, and all the way to concerts and other entertainment and cultural events. Kurzschluss, for example, the PopUp Clubbing event which is this year bringing Roisin Murphy to Ljubljana, hosts iconic artists from various music genres. In each of its edition, the festival pops up at a different venue and is always sold-out long in advance. Its concept attracts thousands of lovers of a unique night life experience, and exclusive, unrepeatable party that lasts all night long.
As GR’s activities have been, according to its director Iztok Bricl, “Distributed to three different pillars: trade fairs, congresses and business events, as well as events and experiences like cultural-entertaining events and concerts,” hosting Kurzschluss’ concerts a few times a year, shows how the GR is successfully following its goal. This is even more obvious in the fact that in the last few years the GR has become a wide-renowned popular venue of the lovers of electronic music.
