First State Super Takes Centre Stage at ICC Sydney
International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), Australia’s premier convention, exhibition and entertainment venue, is proud to announce First State Super has secured the naming rights to the world class ICC Sydney Theatre. The 8,000-seat venue will now be known as First State Super Theatre for the next 10 years.
ICC Sydney CEO, Geoff Donaghy said First State Super’s increased investment in ICC Sydney was a result of the strong performance of the venue’s operations, its brand and reputation.
“We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership with First State Super, an existing equity partner of ICC Sydney, through the naming rights agreement. Their increased investment in the project is a clear sign of confidence in our operation and a result of the reputation we’ve built for the venue.
“We see many synergies between our two companies, particularly our razor sharp focus on building the best possible teams to service our delegates, patrons, members and partners. While we have one of the most magnificent venues in the world, on one of the most spectacular harbours, it is people who ensure successful events and visitor experiences every day at ICC Sydney.
“We will work collaboratively with First State Super to ensure their members, and all of our patrons, enjoy exceptional experiences at the newly named First State Super Theatre,” Mr Donaghy said.
First State Super CEO, Deanne Stewart said, “ICC Sydney is internationally renowned for the quality of its venues, people and culture. It’s an investment that is delivering great returns for our members and the economy, and it’s an asset that our members can feel proud to own. The First State Super Theatre is at the heart of the Sydney community, and we’re proud to be here.”
ICC Sydney will continue to manage the theatre through a partnership that only enhances the team’s international reputation for excellence and underpin Sydney’s reputation as a vibrant, creative and innovative global city on the world stage.
