On the edge of Yekaterinburg, one of the largest museums of military technology and vehicles has recently opened its doors to the public. The fascinating fact is that the collection is completely private. Since its opening in 2005, the number of exhibit pieces grew to today’s number of 5700. Amongst others, you can find over 500 tanks, aeroplanes and other military equipment and over 300 cars and motorcycles. The additional facility filled with precious cars was opened in 2018 and showcases every car that had ever been manufactured in Russia.
The exhibit items are chronologically separated into several segments. Particularly impressive is the story of the legendary T-34 tank, which was manufactured right in Yekaterinburg. You can take photos on the legendary Ural motorcycle, admire Russian fighter planes and get acquainted with the rich military history in this region. The museum was created on the initiative of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company and is located in close proximity to the production site of the main enterprise – JSC “Uralelektromed” (Verkhnyaya Pyshma). Any fan of military technology will find peace in this museum. We recommend a guide to take you through the time-travelling visit.
