Lent, the Maribor’s old city centre, that amazes with its vibrant streets, mighty buildings and wonderful frontages, monuments and fountains that adorn the city’s squares, bridges that link the banks of the river, towers that rise into Maribor’s sky, is not just home to the Oldest Vine in the world, but it is also a home to the only medieval church in Maribor.
Mairbor’s Minorite church got completely renovated between 2014 and 2015. The important sacral building for the history of the city has gotten back its late-Baroque image, while some important discoveries of the past construction were left uncovered so that the history of the church can be seen through their beautiful presentation.
